I made this pipe based on the brandy shape and used a faux military style stem made from high quality German cumberland. The stem has an aluminum insert, mimicking the stem and shank shape. I set the stem against an extension of black ebonite separated from the shank by a white acrylic band. The red and black stem coloring is carried onto the stummel using a base of ebony contrasted with a custom mixed red. It is a ‘chunky’ pipe, just larger than a nosewarmer.
