Since the first lathe post, I had a couple friends help me lift the lathe unit onto the base, align and attach it. After that I assembled the digital read-out (DRO) to the lathe and checked its operation. Had a small issue with a safety switch and just got off the phone with Matt at Quality Machine Tools and am heading to my shop to fix it. Just have to wait for the 2-Jaw chuck from Trent Rudat at Briar Pipe Tooling and spoon bits from Brad Pohlman. Very pleased to have this phase of ‘shop building’ almost complete!
